Everest College in Salt Lake City
Making sure our students are well prepared when it comes time to launch a career is job-one for the entire staff at the Salt Lake City campus. Education is a vehicle that allows an individual to take his or her career possibilities to another level.
We also believe that education is only a piece of the puzzle. People accomplish best when surrounded by a support structure that does everything to support their endeavors. As a result, we are with our students every step of the way, from the moment they arrive until the day they graduate.
Career Services
Helping our students find work is a commitment we take seriously. We work with graduates to create a resumes that accurately reflect their skills and training. We also give them tips on how to handle the interview process from start to finish. And we impart sound advice to students on how to dress appropriately for their career of choice.
We also know there are money and personal challenges that some of our students face. Gracefully, and with absolute respect for personal privacy, we help students who are short of grocery supplies by donating from our food pantry. While not an actual program, such efforts can be a tremendous help to students in need.
Student Ambassador Program
Learning in an environment of support can be of tremendous value to students looking to navigate the classroom environment. Student Ambassadors work through Student Services to help other students who may need a little extra support.
Student Ambassador representatives, along with providing mentoring for fellow students, also help to organize campus events along with fundraising efforts that help support
community relief efforts.
Everest CARE Student Assistance Program
We realize that some students will have those days in life where a personal challenge might get in the way of completing their educational goals. The CARE program helps to address those needs, from providing support groups, women's shelters and childcare resources, to legal support services and more.
Community Outreach
The Salt Lake City campus involves itself each year in community events that involve clothing drives for financially challenged men and women. Men's clothes are collected and given to the men's mission in Salt Lake City. Women's clothes are donated to a women's shelter that also helps to benefit children.
"Adopt a Family" is a well-received program whereby the Salt Lake City campus staff adopts a family in the community to make sure that family's immediate needs for food, clothing or shelter are met. The Salt Lake City campus also participates in community blood drives sponsored by the Red Cross.
Regional Interest
Salt Lake City is privy to some of the best skiing in the country, and thousands migrate to the city each year to participate in snow-filled festivities. Perhaps the real attraction is the beautiful scenery and natural wonders that abound. The Great Salt Lake holds the distinction of being the saltiest in the world and is also a refuge that attracts millions of migratory birds.
