Everest College in Kansas City

Kansas City campus image

Located in the Kansas City South area, Everest College's Kansas City campus provides the type of career training education to students that employers seek when hiring. We also understand the importance of being a vital part of our community and helping drive change that will make a difference in the lives of our students and community.

Whether supporting community efforts like the Boys and Girls Club or the Laubach Literary Society, Everest believes that helping students unlock potential is a sure way to help bring about the change needed to start their journey down the path to success.

Our mission is to be one of the largest career colleges in the Kansas City metropolitan area that provides well-trained graduates who may one day pursue such careers as medical assistants, medical insurance biller and coders, dental assistants, pharmacy technicians and more

Students and staff can make a difference on campus and in the community by participating in the following services and events:

Tutoring - Tutoring is offered to all students on any subject, as needed, and is administered by the campus director of education.

Charity and Community Affiliations - Everest faculty and students can get involved in:

  • Greater Kansas City Girls and Boys Club - Activities for boys and girls
  • Laubauch Literary Society - Helping teach people to read
  • Susan B. Coleman - Waging the war on cancer
  • South Kansas City Chamber of Commerce

Holiday Activities - Calendar events will be planned throughout the year at the Kansas City campus, which may include, but are not limited to:

  • Thanksmas - Occurs between Thanksgiving and Christmas during the first week of December. Everest will provide the dinner. Faculty, students and their familiars are invited to attend.
  • Halloween - Everest will celebrate with Halloween in the Hall, where families and friends are encouraged to share in the festivities

Student Ambassador Program - Students who display leadership skills within the classroom are chosen for the student ambassador program. They serve as a peer-to-peer network through the support of Student Services. Student ambassadors are also instrumental in helping recognize, support and motivate fellow students to be the best they can be.

Student Resources

Everyone experiences tough times on occasion. During these times, students may have special needs with respect to food or clothing. We understand and may be able to help by providing temporary resources.

Career placement services can help students search job boards and classified ads for available jobs. Students may also benefit in an actual job interview by professional wardrobe advice and interviewing tips offered through Career Services.
